The Demon’s Deadline by Tori Centanni

Nicki almost died in the car accident. Instead she was offered a deal.

Now she works for the demon Azmos, delivering his mysterious envelopes all over town. Only her boyfriend Cam knows the truth about her after-school job—Cam, who’s (thankfully) as understanding as he is gorgeous and smart. Nicki’s never had Cam’s bold ambitions; her only talent is guessing the killer in a horror movie. All she wants is to graduate high school, marry Cam someday, and live happily ever after… but lately her work for the demon’s pulling her into deeper danger. Danger that threatens her life and also the bonds that matter most to her. Her best friend Melissa, whom she’s forced to lie to. Her grieving father. And Cam.

But is it even possible to free herself from the contract that saved her life?

And what if she did manage to untangle herself from the arcane world forever — without it, what kind of life does Nicki have left? Once you’ve seen death and darkness, once you know that magic is real, how can you ever go back to being a normal teenager?

It’s finally time Nicki faced her own demons….

**MY REVIEW**
As you might know, I'm not a huge fan of the paranormal genre, having only read Paranormal for an entire year of my life, I sort of burnt out when it comes to the genre. But, every once in a while, a book comes along, that sounds SO intriguing and SO different, that I simply have to give it a try!

The Demons Deadline was one of these books, and it did not disappoint! Although for the first part, the writing and the 'demon' references are a bit strange, you soon get used to them, and get sucked into Nicolette's world!

Nicolette is a delivery girl. After magically surviving a potentially fatal accident that killed her mother, the only aftermath she faced apart from the almost unbearable loss is strange visions of a man that she'd never seen before.

On her sixteenth, the man- well, the demon, Azmos- appears in front of her with a contract telling her what actually happened that night. Her life, or work for him, and she gets to continue living.

Which, really, is a no brainer!

So, now, Nicki delivers envelopes that the demon gives her, without ever knowing what they really are, or what the consequences are to delivering them, all while trying to balance the relationships in her normal world, with her swoon worthy boyfriend, her gothic best friend and her father. For seven months, everything is going fine, Until the people she deliver to start pulling daggers on her, throwing salt water and begging for more time... So, was Nicki ever really out of Death's hands with the deal she made- and who are the demons?

The Demons Deadline is a short, adrenaline packed book that will leave you rooting for all the characters and gasping for more! I will most definitely be reading the sequel- you should too!
